- 500 Gram Boneless Chicken (cubed)
- 1 Cup Yogurt
- 2 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- 2 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Piece Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 Piece Tomato (pureed)
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 Cup Fresh Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves
- Salt
- Fresh Cilantro
Cooking Instructions
Marinate The Chicken: Take a bowl, add the cubed chicken pieces in it with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for about 1 hour or overnight.
Cook The Chicken: Heat little oil in pan. Cook the marinated chicken on medium heat and wait till the pieces are lightly brown.
Prepare The Curry Base: In the same pan add butt and oil. Saute the cumin seeds and then, add onions and cook till they are golden brown. Stir in ginger garlic paste and cook for about a minute.
Add Spices And Tomato Puree: Add turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Add in the tomato puree and keep stirring till the oil separates.
Combine Chicken With Sauce: Add cooked chicken to the curry base. Stir well and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Add Cream And Fenugreek Leaves: Add in fresh cream and crushed dried fenugreek leaves. Cook it for 2-3 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy.
Garnish And Serve: Garnish the butter chicken with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
