Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 appear to escape antibody responses among both people who had previous Covid-19 infection and those who have been fully vaccinated and boosted, according to new data from researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, of Harvard Medical School.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday intensified his criticism of Israel's refusal to sanction Russia, during an address by the Jewish leader to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Naftali Bennett has refrained from criticising Russia's invasion and stressed Israel's close ties with Moscow and Kyiv while his administration has not imposed sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin's government.

In the Afghanistan Earthquake, more than 1,000 people died in the disaster and heavy rain, threadbare resources and rugged terrain are hampering rescue workers. Unknown numbers were buried in the rubble of ruined, often mud-built homes by the magnitude 6.1 earthquake.

Myanmar's deposed civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been moved from house arrest to solitary confinement in a prison in the capital Nay Pyi Taw. The Nobel laureate, 77, was arrested when the military overthrew her elected government in February 2021. For the past year she has been held at an undisclosed location in the capital. Ms Suu Kyi has already been sentenced to 11 years in jail and denies a host of charges which have been widely condemned as politically-motivated.

On June 23, Vladimir Putin will take part in the 14th BRICS Summit. China will chair the summit via videoconference. The leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will discuss the status of diverse political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the five countries and their prospects.

In the Maharashtra Political Crisis, Shiv Sena Ready To Walk Out Of MVA Govt If Rebels Return In 24 Hrs, Says Raut. The party has once again appealed to the rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and his supporting MLAs sitting in Guwahati, to return to Mumbai. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said that the MLAs who are outside Maharashtra should return to Mumbai within 24 hours. "We are ready to walk out of MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) government in Maharashtra, but party rebels should return to Mumbai (from Guwahati) in 24 hours," Sanjay Raut, who is Shiv Sena's chief spokesperson, said.

AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha Claims He Got Death Threat From Gangster Neeraj Bawana's aide. AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha has said that he was receiving death threats by a person who claimed to be an aide of gangster Neeraj Bawana. Jha said he received 35 voice recording, 15 SMS and 15 calls threatening him. In his complaint with the police, the Burari MLA said the caller demanded Rs 10 lakh from him.

'Send Rebel MLAs To Bengal, Will Give Them Good Hospitality'said Mamata Banerjee Amid Maharashtra Crisis. Amid the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of trying to topple the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in an “unethical manner”.

A fire broke out in a building in Rohini’s Budh Vihar police station area of the national capital on Thursday. According to Delhi Fire Service, eight fire tenders are present at the spot.

Delhi government bans entry of medium and heavy vehicles in Delhi from October 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023, in view of the possibility of an increase in pollution in the coming winter season.

However, his fans might be up for major disappointment as the actor revealed that he's contemplating on seeking a retirement. Brad Pitt hinted in a recent interview that he would retire from the entertainment business.

Noted Bengali director Tarun Majumdar was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday after he complained of uneasiness, officials said. Majumdar, 92, has kidney-related ailments and was admitted to the state-run SSKM Hospital, they said.

It’s been a year and a half since Oscar-nominated actor Elliot Page came out as transgender, and during a recent visit to “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Page revealed things have “improved drastically” for him since then. “I feel really grateful for that,” the 35-year-old told Meyers of the supportive reactions he received. “Most people weren’t surprised. As for the share market update, Nifty ended above 15,500 and Sensex gained 443 points. The highest gainers for the day were Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Eicher Motors, M&M, and Bajaj Auto. The top losers for the day were Indiabull Ventures, MRPL, Reliance Industries and Avenue Supermarts.
