She is a poet and novelist and along with Sahana is the India Country Chair for the World Peace Wing of G100 Club and the West Bengal Coordinator for RBTC (Rising Beyond the Ceiling), an initiative to highlight the achievements of Indian Muslim women. She has done some amazing work for women and women empowerment and she recently edited a book with a group of poets who contributed their interpretations of peace woven in wonderful poems by the name of Amity Peace Poems. She recites her own verse from the book, talks about her experience of working and meeting so many people and how men supporting women is something we all need to encourage.
