1. As the Russia Ukraine war rages on for 109 days, Russia has taken control of most of the part of Ukrainian city Severodonetsk.
2. Sri Lankan government which is struggling with its worst economic crisis has introduced weekly quota for filling fuel at filling stations.
3. Kuwait's government has announced that it will deport expatriates who participated in a protest against Nupur Sharma's controversial statement on Prophet Mohammad.
4. Mass shooting in Chicago leaves five dead and and sixteen injured.

National headlines ;-
1.  Over 400 persons have been arrested so far for the violence ensuing protests after Friday prayers in several states over the controversial remark by now-sacked BJP functionaries on Prophet Mohammad.
2. India's National security officials have reported that within the last six months, over 100 terrorists have been eliminated from Jammu & Kashmir.
3. Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa had said that Indiam PM Narendra Modi had pressured him to give a power project contract to Gautam Adani.

1. Crufde oil price in the international market is at it's 10 year high.
2. Currently, brent crude price in the international market is $121.28 per barrel.
3. Since the month of May this year, crude oil price has been hovering at around $115 per barrel.
4. There has been a rise in fuel demands across various countries because of uncertainity of the market due to the Russia-Ukraine war. 
5. Indian oil companies are suffering huge losses to to the rise in price.
6. Indian oil companies are currently losing ₹18 per litre on petrol and ₹21 per litre on diesel.
7. The Indian government had slashed the excise duty on fuel prices in May by ₹8 on petrol and ₹6 on diesel per litre respectively.
8. If fuel prices in India rise again then all the initiatives and schemes introduced by RBI to control inflation will fail.
