Sonu Nigam on Azaan: Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam’s lovely morning sleep got foiled one early morning because of loudspeakers which were playing Azaan. The singer cribbed about it on social media and got trolled. He tried to explain that his statement was not against any particular religion but against the use of loudspeakers for any religious purpose, but he was already at the receiving end of hard-hitting criticism. Priyanka Chopra’s meeting with PM Modi: Peecee is making the country proud by her international achievements. She happened to meet Prime Minister Modi in Berlin. In the photographs that appeared post meeting, she was seen wearing a knee length dress. Some hardcore nationalists lashed out at her for showing her legs. The Padmavati Row: Sanjay Leela Bhansali went on to make a new record of controversies before its release. The film that has alleged sequence of love between Rajput queen Padmini and Alauddin Khilji , sparked violent protests against the film in many states. The makers received death threats and the actress Deepika Padukone’s nose was threatened to be cut. The film has undergone many revisions and now will be released with the name Padmavat instead of Padmavati. The Big Nepotism debate: Kangana Ranaut locked horns with the star filmmaker Karan Johar over ‘nepotism’. It all started at Karan’s talk show Koffee with Karan , in which the ‘Queen’ christened Karan as ‘the flagbearer of nepotism’ on the national television.
