Jawaharlal Nehru 55th death anniversary: Nation, Political leaders pay homage to India's first Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his tributes. "Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his death anniversary. We remember his contributions to our nation," he wrote on Twitter.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to Pandit Nehru at his memorial Shanti Van.

Former PM Dr Manmohan Singh also paid his tribute to Pandit Nehru on his death anniversary. An all-religion prayer meeting was organised at the memorial premises.

Former Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari paid tributes to Pandit Nehru at his memorial.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to Pandit Nehru at his memorial Shanti Van in the national capital.

Former President Pranab Mukherjee paid their respects to former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary.
