Mankad, playing only his second match in IPL 2023, replaced Deepak Hooda in the line-up and went on to score an unbeaten 64 off 45 balls.

Prerak Mankad was acquired by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2022 auction for his base price of Rs. 20 lakh. He got to play a single match in that season, which was against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), in which he scored four runs in one ball.

Prerak Mankad was bought for Rs 20 lakh by LSG in IPL 2023 auction. He made his debut in LSG vs GT IPL match last month but did not get to face a single ball.

Apart from batting, Prerak can also bowl left-arm spin. He was an important part of Saurashtra team that won the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2022–23 season.

Prerak has scored 2006 runs and taken 43 wickets in 46 first-class games since making his debut in both formats in the same year, 2016.

In List A cricket, Prerak has 1535 runs in 53 games with 38 wickets. He has 877 runs in T20Is with a strike-rate of 142.60 and 22 wickets in 43 games.
