England's star opener Dom Sibley's hard-fought fifty and his half-century partnership with captain Joe Root helped England end Eng vs NZ 1st Test in a draw on the fifth and final day on Sunday at the iconic Lord's cricket stadium. Pic Courtesy: PTI

Chasing New Zealand's target of 273 in 75 overs for a win, England lost both openers Rory Burns and Jack Crowley with 56 on board. Neil Wagner dismissed Burns while Crowley was sent back to the pavilion by Tim Southee. From here, Sibley (60* off 207 balls, with three fours) and Joe Root (40) took charge of England's innings by adding 80 runs for the third wicket. Root was dismissed (lbw) by Neil Wagner. Dom Sibley then added 34 runs for the fourth wicket with Ollie Pope (20 in 66 minutes, 41 balls, 3x4s) and both remained unbeaten at stumps on Day 5 to shatter New Zealand's hopes of victory. Earlier, New Zealand declared their second innings on 169/6 in their second innings as lunch break had to be taken early due to rain. For New Zealand, Tom Latham was the top scorer in second innings with 36 while Ross Taylor scored 33. For England, Ollie Robinson was the top wicket taker with three for 26.
