Shubman Gill dethroned Pakistan captain Babar Azam to claim the number 1 position In ODI Batting Rankings on Wednesday.

Shubman Gill came close to getting a maiden World Cup hundred but hasn't managed to breach the three-figures mark yet.

Shubman Gill has achieved the No. 1 ranking in ODI batting, becoming the fourth Indian player to do so, following Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli. He overtook Pakistan's Babar Azam, who had held the top spot for over two years.
