New-ball pair create humiliating record after India’s worst-ever T20I defeat

New Zealand managed to achieve their third-highest T20I total. Windies 245/6 in August 2016 is the highest total against India.

New Zealand collected a total of 95 runs against the pair of Indian opening bowlers Khaleel Ahmed (48) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (47), which is also the most conceded by any Indian opening bowling duo when it comes to the shortest format of the game.

Hardik Pandya bowled his most expensive spell in T20Is and his 2nd most expensive spell in all T20Is. The 25-year-old conceded 51 runs in the four overs he bowled.

The Indian team has the worst win-loss record against New Zealand 2-7. Even after three attempts, India are yet to win a T20I in New Zealand.
