Former Australian cricketer Simon Katich, who has also worked as an assistant coach in KKR in 2015, was appointed as the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in August 2019. Katich joined RCB as a replacement for former head coach Gary Kirsten.

Aussie cricketer Trevor Bayliss will be seen head coaching Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 13th edition of the IPL. Bayliss has earlier worked as the head coach of KKR and had a successful stint with the franchise as he helped them win the IPL trophy in 2012 and 2014.

Aussie cricket coach Andrew McDonald is all set to make a coaching debut in this year's IPL. Mcdonald has been hired as the head coach for Rajasthan Royals.

New Zealand cricket team's former star player Stephen Fleming resigned as a CSK opening batsman in the year 2009 and got hired by the franchise as a full-time coach of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). With Fleming as the coach, CSK has won the IPL title three times and has reached the finals of the T20 League for a record five times.

'King of Spin' Anil Kumble will be head coaching franchise Kings XI Punjab for IPL 2020. The former Indian player was appointed as KXIP head coach last year and managed to retain his position as the head coach this year too.
