ICC Approves Changes In DRS, Run Out, Sending Off Law

Run-out rule change: The batsmen will be declared not out if the bat bounces after reaching the crease.

The International Cricket Council on Friday approved a number of proposed changes to rules of the game during its meeting in London.

Teams will not lose a review for “umpire’s call” verdict under Decision Review System (DRS) and this will come into implementation from October 1.

Teams will no longer have their reviews topped up at the 80-over mark in Test matches.

Decision Review System (DRS), meanwhile, will be used in T20 format as well.
