Around 50,000 mourners on Thursday gathered at the funeral mass of Former Pope Benedict XVI, who died at the age of 95 at his Vatican apartment.

The Catholic Church conducted a historic funeral for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI on Thursday.

Around 50,000 mourners gathered for the Mass, according to the Vatican. Over 1,35,000 people paid their tributes on the first two days of the late pontiff's lying in state at St Peter's Basilica.
