Heeramandi Cast: Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman Join Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix Series; First Look Posters Unveiled

One of the most eagerly awaited and talked-about Netflix series ever is Sanjay Leela Bhasali's 'Heeramandi'.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confirmed new cast members for the series.

First-look posters of the supporting cast have been unveiled following the announcement of the lead cast and a few songs from the series.

Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah and father-son duo Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Sumanis are officially a part of the ensemble cast.

Fardeen will return to the screen after an almost 14-year break, and it is said that he will play an antagonist.

For those who are unaware, 'Heeramandi' is about a young heir caught in the crossfire who chooses to put love above succession.

Events take place in pre-independence India, where the fading art of tawaifs and the growing libe ration movement clash.

The highly anticipated series, which has been Bhansali's dream for the past 14 years, is set to be introduced to the audience.

The series features an ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Sehgal.

'Heeramandi' is slated to release on May 1.
