'Baba Elon Musk Ki Jai': Group Of Men In Bengaluru Worship Twitter CEO For Buying Microblogging Site. WATCH

A group organized a puja for the Twitter CEO in Bengaluru's Freedom Park to express their happiness over his decision to take over the microblogging site Twitter.

While billionaire Elon Musk has a legion of fans from across the world, he has a lot of admirers in India as well, ranging from students, entrepreneurs, fresh graduates, IT employees to professionals. Recently, a video from Bengaluru went viral where a group of men can be seen worshipping Musk for buying Twitter, where he has more than 129 million followers.

The members of the Save Indian Family Federation (SIFF) organized a puja for the Twitter CEO in Bengaluru's Freedom Park to express their happiness over his decision to take over the microblogging site. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows men from the federation worshipping the Tesla chief.

"SIFF members are worshipping guru @elonmusk in Bengaluru, India for purchasing Twitter and allowing men to express their views against the oppression of authorities," a user named Sriman NarSingh tweeted.

The tweet has been captioned saying that Musk was being worshipped for "allowing people to express their views against the oppression of authorities".

In the video, one of the members can be seen lighting incense sticks in front of an Elon Musk poster. The group can be heard chanting ‘Baba Elon Musk ki jai’.

Since being posted, the post has garnered an avalanche of reactions in the comment section. “Hey, @elonmusk Congrats on being chosen as a god for us. Trust me, this is worth more than a blue tick."

“But he was the one who supported #AmberHeard in Johny Depp case. that's irony!!" another user commented.

Elon Musk took over Twitter last year in October in a $44 billion deal. Since then, the billionaire has made sweeping changes to the social media platform, including paid subscriptions, introducing a bookmark button, navigation style among several initiatives.

Musk also fired employees across the globe, and the company reportedly has less than 2,000 employees. There were about 7,500 staffers when Musk took over.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk reclaimed the top spot as the world’s richest person after briefly losing the title to the 73-year-old French tycoon Bernard Arnault, CEO of the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk became the world's richest person on the back of an over 90 per cent surge in Tesla Inc's stock price this year.

Musk remained the second wealthiest person in the world for about two months.
