What Comprises Kailasa? Fugitive Godman Answers Questions About His 'Hindu Nation'. Details

Nithyananda's office said that Kailasa is a "revival of the ancient enlightened Hindu civilizational nation" when asked about its authenticity.

The self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda's press secretary has responded to several Twitter inquiries regarding the "United States of Kailasa country." It had invited registered media organisations interested in learning more about Kailasa to submit questions on Friday.

The office stated that Kailasa is a "revival of the ancient enlightened Hindu civilizational nation" when asked about its authenticity. It said that Kailasa was established as a "borderless, service-oriented nation" similar to the Sovereign Order of Malta.

It operates through a number of NGOs from around the world that are recognised by the United Nations, it said.

The Sovereign Order of Malta, according to its website, is a lay religious order of the Catholic Church that has existed since 1113. It is recognised by the United Nations and has diplomatic relations with more than 100 states despite not having any actual territory.

When asked how the USK works and if people could visit the state, the office responded that Nithyananda's "country" works through a number of entities, NGOs, temples, and monasteries in different countries.

“We are a revival of the ancient enlightened Hindu civilizational nation and operate through a group of NGOs, recognized by the United Nations, operating from multiple countries across the world. It was established much in the spirit of a country like the Sovereign Order of Malta, a borderless service-oriented nation,” the press secretary said.

According to its official Twitter account, Kailasa aims for global peace regardless of gender, race, nationality, color, or caste with a vision of "living enlightenment for all" based on the concept of "oneness."

The secretary said that they "have not scammed anyone" and have established sister-city relationships with many cities around the world when asked about the agreements with 30 US cities and Newark's claim of a "scam."

“It is important to reiterate that Kailasa and its representatives have not scammed anyone, nor are we “fiction”. We are a legitimate organization established on the principles of Sanatana Hindu Dharma, and the Ancient Hindu Enlightenment Science in pursuit of serving humanity. We remain committed to our purpose towards global peace,” the secretary wrote.

"Kailasa" is not recognised as a nation by the United Nations, and it is currently unclear whether the nation is fictional or real. However, Nithyananda's followers continue to share videos on social media, indicating that the nation is experiencing changes.

Additionally, the Kailasa office denied reports that their guru Swami Nithyananda was a fugitive from India. The press secretary stated, "This is completely false." According to the office, "Many prominent human rights advocates have given independent reports and legal opinions attesting to this," Geoffrey Robertson, the UK's Queen's Council, was cited.

They claimed that Robertson had stated that the charges were brought about as a result of the "demonization of their leader and guru by the media and state government officials as a result of false sexual abuse charges first levelled against him in 2010 and pursued in a manner that amounts to an abuse of process." Robertson's statements were cited in the report.

Nityananda continues to refute the allegations of rape and sexual assault making him a "wanted" person in India.
