This US City Has Entered Guinness Book Of World Record For Making Over 14,000 Pancakes In 4 Hrs

New Delhi: Iowa City in the United States of America set a unique world record on Pancake Day, which was on September 25.

Every year, Pancake Day is celebrated in the city of Iowa, when people participate in large numbers and make pancakes. This year, an interesting record was set during the Pancake Day celebrations. As many as 14,280 pancakes were served by a team of 100 people at the festival in just 4 hours, a report by the United Press International (UPI) said. As many pancakes were never served before this.

With this, the world record for making and serving the highest pancakes was set.

Earlier Record Was Of 13,000 Pancakes

Quoting the Pancake Day organisers in Centerville, Iowa, the UPI report said the 2,400-pound pancake was donated by grocery chain Hy-Vee, which had previously made 13,000 pancakes in Blue Springs in June this year to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.

But this time the event in Iowa city has broken the record and set a new one. As many as 14,280 pancakes were made at the event, and now this new feat has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the UPI report.

A 100-Strong Team

Nearly 100 people representing their business made the 14,280 pancakes from 9 am to 1 pm to set the new world record on Saturday.

According to the rules set for the record, each pancake should have been 5 inches in thickness 39 inches in diameter for the feat to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The organisers and pancake makers met both these scales and succeeded in creating the record.
