Visakhapatnam Police Seize 1065 Bottles Of Spurious Liquor 'Used For Making Homeopathic Medicines'
Visakhapatnam Commissioner, Ravi Shankar said, the accused persons used it to create spurious liquor bottles
The Visakhapatnam Special Enforcement Bureau and the police confiscated 677 bottles of Sterling Reserve whiskey, 1065 bottles of liquid homoeopathic medicine, and 450 units of loose spurious liquor on Thursday. Till now, two individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.
Visakhapatnam Commissioner, Ravi Shankar said, "Visakhapatnam Special Enforcement Bureau and the police have seized 677 sterling reserve whiskey of 121.86 litres, 1065 homoeopathic medicine liquid bottles of 479.25 litres and 450 loose spurious liquor. Two persons are arrested named Ladi Srisha and Susanth Patro."

Earlier, the Chintapalli sub-division police apprehended an individual allegedly involved in the manufacturing and smuggling of 53 kg of liquid ganja, commonly known as hash oil, in Alagam Village, G. Madugula, within the Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district. According to law enforcement, the confiscated hash oil is valued at over Rs 5 crore.
Under the initiative 'Operation Parivarthana', the Annavaram Police and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Task Force, under the supervision of ASR Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha and Additional S.P K Kishore, conducted the operation resulting in the arrest of Ulangi Prakash from Alagam Village, G. Madugula mandal, while he was in the process of transporting the hash oil, according to a report on The Hindu.
