Fight Over Shortage Of Rasgullas Injures 6 At Agra Wedding Function

A fight over the shortage of 'rasgullas' at a wedding function in Agra has injured six people.

The situation spiralled out of control at a wedding function in Agra when a petty issue turned into a major altercation and people had to be hospitalised. Six people were injured when a fight broke out over the shortage of 'rasgullas' [sweets] at the function, police said, adding that the injured were admitted to a hospital and were out of danger.

The incident occurred in the Shamsabad area around Sunday midnight, news agency PTI reported. SHO Shamsabad police station Anil Sharma said, "Six people were injured in the incident and a case has been registered. Those who are in hospital are out of danger,".

He said the fight started when somebody passed a comment over the shortage of the sweet item. "On Sunday, there was a wedding function at the residence of Brijbhan Kushwaha... at the function, a person passed a comment on the shortage of rasgullas," he said.

Among the injured were Bhagwan Devi, Yogesh, Manoj, Kailash, Dharmendra and Pawan.
