Rajya Sabha MP Hardwar Dubey Passes Away, PM Modi, President Murmu Offer Condolences

PM Modi said Rajya Sabha MP Hardwar Dubey was a grassroots leader who would always be remembered for his important contribution in the development journey of Uttar Pradesh.

Rajya Sabha MP Hardwar Dubey passed away at a hospital in Delhi on Monday. He was 74. The BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh was admitted to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute on June 12, PTI reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu offered their condolences to the family members of Dubey. In a tweet, PM Modi said that he was deeply saddened by the demise of "hardworking" BJP MP Hardwar Dubey. 

 "Deeply saddened by the demise of hardworking BJP MP Hardwar Dubey ji. He was such a grassroots leader, who will always be remembered for his important contribution in the development journey of Uttar Pradesh. May God give strength to his family and admirers in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!," PM Modi said in a tweet.

President Droupadi Murmu also condoled the death of the Rajya Sabha MP. Murmu said the demise of the former minister in the Uttar Pradesh government Hardwar Dubey was saddening. She said Dubey was always dedicated to public service.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed grief over the demise of Dubey.

“My condolences are with the bereaved family members. May Lord Shri Ram grant the departed soul a place at his holy feet and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this immense sorrow. Om Shanti," Adityanath said in a tweet in Hindi.
