New Delhi: PM Modi took the nation by a surprise as he announced his sudden address to the nation, on Twitter. Netizens on the micro-blogging website went berserk, with many recalling Modi’s sudden address to the nation, during demonetisation announcement. Within no time, speculations went rife and memes flooded the platform. PM Modi wrote in his tweet that he would be making the address at around 11:45 AM - 12.00 noon, with an important message. However, as people waited in suspense for the major announcement, PM Modi turned up not before 12:25. Then, in what is being termed as an ‘anti-climactic’ announcement by many, PM proudly informed the countrymen of a major achievement by India in the international space domain. He announced that India has joined the group of elite space powers by successfully testing and demonstrating its Anti Satellite capabilities. With this feat, India has become the only fourth country to do so. However, only the prelude to the announcement was enough to send the netizens into frenzy, with many political jokes surfacing within minutes.
