Motilal Vora Passes Away: PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Other Politicians Condole 'True Congressman' Demise

Several politicians including former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Congress national executive Niraj Bhatia and others mourned the untimely demise of senior leader Motilal Vora

In a sudden turn of events, senior Congress leader Motilal Vora breathed his last on Monday (December 21) at Fortis Escort Hospital in Delhi. According to reports, Vora was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night. ALSO READ | Congress Leader Motilal Vora Passes Away A Day After Celebrating His 93rd Birthday Reacting to the unfortunate development, people across political line mourned the untimely demise of the veteran political leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences over sudden demise of senior Congress leader Motilal Vora. "Motilal Vora Ji was among the senior-most Congress leaders, who had vast administrative and organisational experience in a political career that spanned decades," PMO tweeted, quoted the Prime Minister.
Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in a Twitter post said, "Vora ji was a true congressman and a wonderful human being. We will miss him very much. My love & condolences to his family and friends."
Bhushan Patil, the General Secretary Mumbai Congress took to the Twitter saying "Saddened to learn about passing away of Former CM of MP , Former Union Min , Former GuV of UP & Sr.leader of @INCIndia Shri. MotilalVora ji. my condolences to his loved ones..I have fond memories with him, truly humbly & a perfectionist. Will surely miss him."
Congress national executive Niraj Bhatia too poured in condolences. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Bhatia said "Tragic to learn about demise of one of the finest Congressman known. RIP #MotilalVora ji Heartfelt condolences to @ArunVoraMLA & family.."
Motilal Vora, who celebrated his 93rd birthday a day before his demise, had started his career in the field of journalism, and later entered politics in 1968. Motilal won the election from Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in 1970 and was appointed as Deputy Chairman of Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Motilal Vora became a Cabinet Minister in 1983 and was also appointed as the Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee.
