Maruti Cars Get Pricier By Upto Rs 6,100

Maruti Suzuki has become the fourth automaker after Honda, Hyundai and Mahindra to announce a price hike this month

Maruti Cars Get Pricier By Upto Rs 6,100

Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike of upto Rs 6,100 across its entire lineup with effect from 16 August. The price hike, which is partly due to the increase in commodity and distribution costs, can also be attributed to the Indian rupee hitting an all-time low.

Maruti is not the only carmaker to hike prices this August. Other carmakers like Honda, Mahindra and Hyundai, too, have increased prices of their respective models this month. While Mahindra cars have seen an increase of 2 per cent in prices, Honda has hiked prices by upto Rs 35,000. Hyundai has also hiked prices, albeit only for the Grand i10, by 3 per cent (upto Rs 23,000).

Currently, Maruti Suzuki is running a service camp for its customers at all of its service stations till 31 August. As part of the Freedom Service Camp, Maruti is giving special offers on extended warranty, parts, accessories and service labour charges.

Meanwhile, Maruti is also set to launch the 2018 Ciaz facelift in India on 20 August. The updated sedan will get refreshed aesthetics and will be better equipped than before. It will also get an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine with Maruti’s smart hybrid system. To Know more about the Ciaz facelift, click here.
