New Delhi: The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has announced recruitment for several positions such as Scientist, junior scientific assistant, senior technician, and senior technician. According to reports, the applications will be available from May 5 and the last date for submitting the application is May 25. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India is a statutory organisation under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change that is the apex body that governs pollution control. It also provides technical support to the Ministry of Environment and Forests under the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. According to the notification, ‘Due to the pandemic situation by the speared of Coronavirus COVID-19 and the lockdown in the country, online applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to various posts on regular basis through open competition on all India basis.’ Vacancy for a total of 48 posts have been announced and this includes Scientist– ‘B’ -13 Junior Scientific Assistant-02 Senior Technician- 06 Data Entry Operator -02 Junior Technician- 02 Junior Laboratory Assistant-07 Lower Division Clerk -13 Attendant (MTS)-03 The applications are available on the official website cpcb.nic.in in the current jobs section and there is no payment involved for applying to any post. The notification advised that interested candidates should ensure that they have the necessary qualifications and experience for the position applied. According to the job notice, “Applicants are advised to ensure before applying that they possess essential qualifications and experience for the post. The Experience, Qualification, and age will be reckoned as on the last date for submission of application i.e. 25th May 2020.
