'Who Live In Glass Houses Should Not Throw Stones': Sidhu Slams Kejriwal's Poll Promises
He described Kejriwal's promise of delivering Rs 1,000 per month to every woman above the age of 18 in Punjab if AAP is elected as a lollipop.
New Delhi: Navjot Singh Sidhu, president of the Punjab Congress, attacked AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal over election pledges on Monday, saying people who live in glass homes should not fling stones at others.
He described Kejriwal's promise of delivering Rs 1,000 per month to every woman above the age of 18 in Punjab if AAP is elected as a lollipop and asked how many women had received this amount in Delhi.
The Congress leader also pressed the Delhi CM on how many teaching posts he had created, days after the opposition party's national convener vowed to regularise the employment of temporary teachers in the state.
Sidhu's comments come a day after Kejriwal accused the leaders of the Congress, BJP, and SAD of repeatedly criticising his party, the AAP, for the announcements.
Sidhu chastised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a series of tweets for not having a single woman in his cabinet.
Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others. @ArvindKejriwal Ji you talk of women empowerment, jobs & teachers. However, you don’t have one woman minister in your Cabinet. How many women in Delhi get ₹1000 despite revenue surplus left by Sheila Dikshit Ji !!

He stated that women's empowerment entails requiring women to participate in all stages of the voting process, as Congress is doing in Punjab.
True leadership does not entail handing out Rs 1000 lollipops, but rather investing in their future by teaching skills for self-employment and female entrepreneurs-Punjab Model, he stated in another tweet.
On the subject of teachers, Sidhu accused the Kejriwal administration of filling vacancies with foreign instructors.
On teachers and jobs, Sidhu stated, "In 2015, there were 12,515 job openings of teachers in Delhi, and in 2021, there would be 19,907 similar job vacancies of teachers in Delhi, and you are replacing the majority of the vacant seats with only guest lecturers."
