Weather Update: Delhi To See Clear Sky On Monday, Max Temperature Likely To Drop From Feb 2

The highest and lowest temperatures are forecast to be about 8 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively, PTI reported.

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department predicts a mostly clear sky in the national capital on Monday, with mist in the morning and strong surface winds (speed 25-35 kmph) during the day.

According to the IMD's weekly prediction, the maximum temperature in Delhi would likely drop from February 2 onwards, IANS reported.

As per the prediction, the sky will be "partly overcast" on February 2 and "partly cloudy sky with light rain" on February 3 and 4, resulting in a maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius on February 4, down from 23 degrees Celsius on February 2.

Temperatures will range from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius at night.

Rainy Spell Over Northwest, East, Northeast India

The India Meteorological Department had earlier warned that there would be a rainy spell over Northwest, East, and Northeast India from February 2-4.

Maximum temperatures in most regions of Northwest and Central India are expected to climb by 3-5 degrees Celsius till February 2 and then decline.

Surface winds of 15-25 kmph are expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.

It ascribed the phenomenon for the cold and also the rain to the presence of Western Disturbance, IANS reported.

According to the MeT department, the national capital will have mostly clear skies with hazy mornings until February 1.
