As soon as the locals heard the migrants’ cries, they reportedly rushed to the spot and informed police about the incident. The official said that those who suffered minor injuries in the bus accident were admitted to a community health centre (CHC). Three people whose condition was said to be critical were shifted to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital. In view of the migrants taking a difficult journey back home amid the rise in Covid-19 cases, the Supreme Court last week asked the states to send back the migrant workers to their native places within a period of 15 days adding that the cases against the labourers for violating lockdown rules should be considered for withdrawal.
