UP Municipal Elections 2017 LIVE UPDATES: 24% polling till 12 pm in 24 districts in local body elections, phase 1
UP Municipal Elections LIVE: Yogi Adityanath casts his vote in Gorakhpur.
New Delhi: Voting began at 7:30 am on Wednesday for the first phase of local body election in the Uttar Pradesh (UP). Polling to be held in three phases and results will be declared on 1st December. Polling in 24 districts, including for mayoral posts, will continue till 5 pm amid tight security.
The remaining phases would be held on November 26 and 29.
Before the voting, Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath did prayer in Gorakhpur.
