Unknown Man Tries To Enter NSA Ajit Doval's Residence, Detained By Security Forces

The man identified as Shantanu Reddy from Bengaluru has been detained by security forces and further investigation is underway.

New Delhi: An unknown person tried to enter NSA Ajit Doval's residence on Wednesday. The man tried to enter Doval's bungalow in a car but was stopped by the security personnel posted there, sources told ABP News. The man has been detained and further investigation is underway.

According to initial probe by the Delhi Police, the man identified as Shantanu Reddy from Bengaluru seemed to be mentally disturbed and he was driving a rented car. The person taken into custody is a resident of Karnataka.

According to the ABP News sources, the incident occurred around 7:30-8 am. NSA Doval was at home when the man tried to enter his residence. The Delhi Police has called it as "freak incident" for now. Further investigation is on.

It may be mentioned here that there is no nameplate at the NSA's residence. The police have called it a "very serious matter" of security breach and launched a high-level investigation to find out the real reason behind Reddy's act.

The sources further said that the man during the investigation told the police that someone had fitted a chip inside him and was trying to control him. However, according to an ANI report, the police refuted such claims and said there was no chip found on or inside him. The special cell of the Delhi Police is conducting the probe.

Reddy looks to be mentally unstable, they said. The car was hired from Noida, officers added.

"A man tried to enter the house of NSA on Wednesday morning. The security stopped him. When he was asked some questions, he is not in the state of giving answers. He is mentally unsound," news agency PTI quoted an officer as saying.
