New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has said that he will delay the G7 Summit which he planned to hold in June at the White House and will extend invitation to some other countries including India. This development holds high significance for India in the international landscape and is reflective of India's growing stature in the world. As per PTI, his statements came during his interaction with reporters traveling with him on board the Air Force One from Florida to Washington DC.  He said that he is "postponing it until September" and plans to invite Russia, South Korea, Australia and India. "I don't feel that as a G7 it properly represents what's going on in the world. It's a very outdated group of countries," he was quoted as saying. The summit of the group of world’s top economies  is postponed from the end of June until till at least September.  Trump has said he would like to invite India, Russia, South Korea and Australia to the forum’s meet, agencies reported.
