Delhi: Traffic police suggests people to avoid stretch from AIIMS to Dhaula Kuan

Obstruction in traffic from AIIMS towards Aurobindo Marg is due to heavy volume of traffic.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic police issued an advisory on Thursday saying that the traffic will remain heavy in the carriageway from Lodi road/ INA towards Aurobindo Marg, South extension towards Dhaula Kaun due to the heavy volume of traffic. The advisory also states - "Obstruction in traffic from AIIMS towards Dhoula Kuan is due to the breakdown of a DTC bus on Raj Nagar Flyover. Kindly avoid the stretch." The Traffic movement is closed from Aurobindo Marg to New Delhi & South Extn to Aurobindo Marg. It will remain heavy in the carriageway from Lodi road towards Aurobindo Marg, South extension towards Dhaula Kaun due to the heavy volume of traffic. The traffic police say to avoid the stretch. At the India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), 93-year-old BJP veteran leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee remains critical and he continues to be on an advanced life-support system. Policemen have been deployed to manage the crowd and traffic outside the hospital. A large crowd of media persons and others has gathered outside the hospital to get updates on Vajpayee's health, affecting the movement of traffic on the road.
