Those Who Do 'Puja' Can't Be Involved In Violence: Nitish Kumar On Hanuman Jayanti Clashes
"Bihar is a completely peaceful state on this account. No incident of communal violence in the state. I do not give any space for communal disturbance in Bihar," Nitish Kumar said.
New Delhi: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed his concerns over the violence that took place in the country on Hanuman Jayanti saying that those who do ‘puja’ cannot be involved in violence, news agency IANS reported.
"I firmly believe that creating a disturbance in the name of religion is not acceptable by any means. There is no space for controversy or dispute in religions. How, could a person who wants to do puja could create a communal disturbance," Kumar said, adding that these are fringe elements who are involved in creating communal disharmony and not common people.
"Bihar is a completely peaceful state on this account. No incident of communal violence in the state. I do not give any space for communal disturbance in Bihar," Nitish Kumar said.
Kumar, whose party is a part of the BJP-led NDA, also took a jibe at RJD saying, “Everyone knew about what happened before 2006. Now, those people are asking us. But they also know their own reality when they were in power in Behar before 2006.”
Kumar was not the only one who was concerned about the recent incidents in the country.
Maharashtra MP and NCP leader Sharad Pawar also said that it is the BJP who is responsible for these violent incidents.
“We never heard of communal violence during Ram Navami. The reason behind this is the BJP and some of their organisation. Delhi's law and order situation come under the Central government,” Pawar was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

“Any organisation apart from political parties which creates problems can create unrest & if any state govt or Central govt wants to ban it (PFI), I will not say no,” he added while speaking to reporters in Bengaluru.
On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday, separate incidents of violence took place in different parts of the country.
