Thackeray Govt Failed in Combating Coronavirus, We Need President's Rule: Narayan Rane To ABP News

Rane met the Governor on Monday and apprised him of the “failure” of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress, in tackling the Covid-19 situation in the state.

New Delhi: Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state by the pandemic and the state crossed the 50 thousand mark yesterday. As the numbers in the state continue to surge, the opposition, BJP has demanded President's rule in the state.  BJP MP Narayan Rane met the Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari on Monday, alerted him of the situation, and demanded imposition of President’s rule. Speaking to ABP news today, BJP MP Rane said that Maharashtra has failed under Uddhav Thackeray's government. "The MVA government under Uddhav Thackeray is a failure. Thackeray is incapable to save the people of Maharashtra. If we want the people to be protected, then the imposition of the President's rule is necessary." Rane said that the state is witnessing its worst phase under the Thackeray government."60-65 people are dying every day in the state, most of the cases are from Mumbai. More than 32,000 people are still infected. The numbers are not decreasing as the government hospitals are not providing proper medical facilities." We want to help the people of Maharashtra and to save them we need President's rule. Rane also mentioned that the lockdown has been successful in the entire country under PM Modi's leadership, the reason that Maharashtra is facing such a crisis is Thackeray government.  Maharashtra has recorded 2436 new cases and 60 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected cases in the state is 52,667. Mumbai has recorded 1430 new cases taking the toll of the financial capital to 31,972, which is 60% of the total infected cases in Maharashtra.
