Thackeray Govt Failed in Combating Coronavirus, We Need President's Rule: Narayan Rane To ABP News

Rane met the Governor on Monday and apprised him of the “failure” of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress, in tackling the Covid-19 situation in the state.

New Delhi: Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state by the pandemic and the state crossed the 50 thousand mark yesterday. As the numbers in the state continue to surge, the opposition, BJP has demanded President's rule in the state.  BJP MP Narayan Rane met the Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari on Monday, alerted him of the situation, and demanded imposition of President’s rule. Speaking to ABP news today, BJP MP Rane said that Maharashtra has failed under Uddhav Thackeray's government. "The MVA government under Uddhav Thackeray is a failure. Thackeray is incapable to save the people of Maharashtra. If we want the people to be protected, then the imposition of the President's rule is necessary." Rane said that the state is witnessing its worst phase under the Thackeray government."60-65 people are dying every day in the state, most of the cases are from Mumbai. More than 32,000 people are still infected. The numbers are not decreasing as the government hospitals are not providing proper medical facilities."
