LeT Militant Arrested In Anantnag, Security Forces Recover Guns & Ammunition

The arrested terrorist is being interrogated further and the authorities are hopeful that it will lead to more raids and arrests.

New Delhi: Security Forces made a major breakthrough after they arrested an active Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist in the Wahadan area of ​​South Kashmir's Anantnag district and recovered arms and ammunition from him.

According to the police, the security forces received specific information about the terrorist after which a search operation was launched early in the morning, in the Wahadan area of ​​Aishmuqam by the joint forces of the police and the army's 3RR.

During the search operation, they arrested a terrorist name Hafiz Abdullah Malik, a resident of Ganjipora. Abdullah had joined The Resistance Front (TRF) in September this year.  The police recovered a pistol and seven bullets in his possession. Later, after questioning him for a while, he took the search parties to Katsu forest, where the security forces recovered an AK-47, 02 magazines with 40 rounds. 

The arrested terrorist is being interrogated further and the authorities are hopeful that it will lead to more raids and arrests.

TRF works as a front organization of LeT and has been involved in various terrorist attacks in Kashmir and the "Pistol Gang" which is responsible for the recent attacks on locals and security forces is also a part of this organization.
