The lockdown in Tamil Nadu has been further extended with some amendments in the rule as per the decisions taken at the meeting of all party assembly leaders to control the spread of coronavirus. According to the report, an E-pass is required to travel between districts under these new guidelines.

The e-registration is mandatory for passengers traveling for essential activities such as marriages, funerals, medical treatment, and elderly care. It will come into effect from 6 am on the 17th. As a result, people are confused as to whether an E-pass is mandatory for travel within the districts.
