New Delhi: It's an important day in the campaign period of assembly elections 2021 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address a major rally in Kolkata's historic parade ground today. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty is expected to share the stage with him. On the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will hold 'padayatra' against the rising fuel prices in North Bengal today.

PM Modi's Mega Bengal Rally
The mega poll rally slated to happen in Kolkata’s Brigade Ground on Sunday with Prime Minister Modi reaching the venue at 2 pm. Actor Prosenjit and many other prominent Bengali celebrities are likely to share the stage with the PM. Earlier it was rumoured that BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is going to be present at PM Narendra Modi's rally in West Bengal. However, according to the latest updates, he will not be present at the event. Meanwhile, actor and former TMC Rajya Sabha MP Mithun Chakraborty is reported to be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party at 12 noon in the presence of Dilip Ghosh and Kailash Vijayavargiya.
CM Mamata Banerjee To Hold A March Against Fuel Price Hike
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will undertake a 'padayatra' with women today. CM Mamta Banerjee will hold a four-kilometer-long roadshow in Siliguri today over the issue of rising fuel prices. Mamta's roadshow will take place at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a rally in Kolkata. CM Mamta will begin her march from the Darjeeling turn of Siliguri and end at Safdarashmi Chowk.
Amit Shah To Visit Tamil Nadu And Kerala
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will join the mahapanchayat in protest against agrarian laws in Meerut today. She will address the Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' to be held in Kaili village of Meerut district. She is expected once again to demand the repeal of agrarian laws as farmers continue their protest against the centre's legislation.
