Slight relief for Mumbaikars, no rain yet since last night

New Delhi: There has been a slight relief for Mumbaikars' suffering as after hours of continuous rains, which literally brought the entire city to a standstill, no rain has been reported in the city post last night. Heavy rains lashed Mumbai in past 2 days and led to heavy traffic jams across the city. People couldn’t make it to their meetings, important appointments as several flights and rains were delayed and cancelled due to non-stop rains. 30 routes of BEST buses were also diverted due to water-logging. The main area of water-logging was reported near Sion station where tracks were submerged upto 5-7 inches and to avoid any untoward incident, the train operations were halted between CST and Thane stations. sion The suburban services on Up and Down slow lines were suspended between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and Thane due to water-logging at Sion, Masjid, and Sandhurst Road stations because of continuous heavy rain. mmmmmmmmmmm As a precaution, all major services like the police, fire brigade, NDRF and others are in a state of high alert.
