Shortcut Politics Can Destroy Nation, Lead To Short-Circuit: PM Modi At Deoghar Roadshow
Supporters of PM Modi crowded both sides of the road as PM's cavalcade passed through the meandering roads of Deoghar during the roadshow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a rally in Jharkhand Deoghar and that short-cut politics based on populist measures can destroy India, lead to short-circuit. PM Modi said this after he embarked on a 12-km roadshow in Jharkhand's Deoghar district amid tight security. During his roadshow, PM Modi also said that his government is making investments to provide modern facilities at places associated with faith, historical importance in the state.
Furthermore, he pointed out that India is land of faith and spirituality. "Pilgrimages shaped us as a better society and country," he said.

The entire roadshow route was seen decked up with banners and posters welcoming the PM in the district. Chanted of 'Modi-Modi' were heard, with some people showering flowers on PM's carcade.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi unveiled multiple projects in Jharkhand, including an airport in Deoghar, and said the new initiatives would go a long way in boosting development in eastern India. PM Modi also pointed out that efforts had been underway over the past eight years to strengthen the infrastructure of railways, roadways and airways in the region.
"We had long been nurturing the dream of Deoghar airport. It will boost employment and create new opportunities. I congratulate the citizens of Jharkhand. The new projects will also benefit Bihar and West Bengal,” the PM said.
Modi, during the day laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects totaling Rs 16,800 crore.
