Security forces gun down two terrorists in J-K’s Srinagar, search operations underway

The security forces gunned down two militants on Saturday morning in an encounter which broke out near Jammu and Kashmir's capital Srinagar. The two terrorists were killed after an intense gun battle with the security forces.

Srinagar: The security forces gunned down two militants on Saturday morning in an encounter which broke out near Jammu and Kashmir's capital Srinagar. The two terrorists  were killed after an intense gun battle  with the security forces. There are reports of at least one of two more militants hiding in the region. The security forces have cordoned off the area with an aim to eliminate the terrorist. The search operation is being jointly carried out by 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Srinagar Police. The encounter, which took place despite heavy security cover due to Republic Day, is likely to raise red flags within the agencies.
