Security Forces Gun Down 3 Militants In Encounter In Kashmir's Kulgam

Three militants were killed by security forces in an encounter which is still underway at Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi: Security forces eliminated three militants in an ongoing that broke out on Saturday morning in Kashmir's Kulgam region. The operation which began at 5.30 am is currently underway at a house where the militants are hiding. According to reports around one or two other militants are still trapped at the site of the encounter and are firing from within. The exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists is still underway. According to reports, this is the same group of militants who were involved in the killings of five civilians in Kulgam and Anantnag. On Wednesday night, the militants were involved in the killings of two civilians in Kulgam.
The victims who were identified as Siraj Ahmad Gorse and Ghulam Hassan Wagay were shot dead by the militants after they broke into their homes. The victims suffered severe bullet injuries and were declared dead on arrival. Last month security forces were able to kill, four terrorists, from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) during an encounter in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
