2 Terrorists Killed As Fierce Gunfight Continues In Kashmir's Kulgam

The police said the slain terrorists are being identified and their affiliations will also be ascertained. The anti-terrorist operation, they added, is still in progress.
According to ANI, there has been no official confirmation that the Poonch attack perpetrators were the ones involved in the ongoing firefight with the security forces.

Following the attack Saturday, reinforcements from both the Army and police were swiftly deployed to the area. A large-scale search and cordon operation was also initiated to locate and neutralise the terrorists responsible for the assault, news agency PTI reported. The area where the attack took place lies between Surankote's Sanai Top and Mendhar's Gursai area in the border district.
The forces have intensified search operations from Surankote to Jarran Wali Gali in their search for the Poonch attackers.
Confirming the attack on the convoy earlier, IAF posted, "An Indian Air Force vehicle convoy was attacked by militants in the Poonch district of J&K, near Shahsitar. Cordon and search operations are underway presently in the area by local military units. The convoy has been secured, and further investigation is under progress."
The soldier killed in the attack has been identified as Corporal Vicky Pahade. According to an NDTV report, he was supposed to visit home this week for his five-year-old son's birthday.
