RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat praises Modi govt, army for surgical strikes

Nagpur: In a strong endorsement of the cross-border surgical strikes by the army and praise of Narendra Modi led BJP government, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said it was a testimony to the fact that nothing works in the world without power. He said the exercise of power by Indian government by way of these strikes have proved that the world stands with those who are powerful. "Nothing works without power, irrespective of whether it is good or bad. We hadn't displayed our strength till now. That's why whenever tension used to arise, America would ask us to keep quiet," the RSS chief said. "But since the time we have started showing our power without asking anyone, those who used to ask us to keep quiet have started standing with us. It's because, we have shown our power," Bhagwat added. The RSS Sarsanghachalak made a brief statement at a local temple here, where he had come for the Navratri festival. Meanwhile, Modi on Tuesday also complimented the works of the Rashtriya Swayamsewaka Sangh (RSS) on its 91st foundation day. “On the ‘Sthapana Diwas’ of the RSS, my greetings to all swayamsevaks and best wishes in their endeavours to serve our nation,” Modi tweeted.
