'I Will Show Up For Every Interrogation': Robert Vadra After Second Round Of ED Questioning, Says Case Politically Motivated

After the second round of ED questioning in a Gurugram land case, Robert Vadra called the allegations false, linking them to political targeting after he expressed interest in joining politics.

Following questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a land case in Gurgram, businessman Robert Vadra said that all the allegations were false.

He said that the ED was asking him the same questions and showed him the same papers, which he had seen before. He said that it was not a coincidence that the National Herald chargesheet was filed yesterday. However, the family cannot be broken, since I, Priyanaka, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are together.

He said that because he talked about his interest in joining politics, the BJP is now targeting him. He asserted that he would show up for every questioning because he wants answers to it all as well.

On Tuesday, Vadra was accompanied by his wife, Wayanad Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi, at the Enforcement Directorate office in Delhi for the second round of questioning. The couple shared a hug just before he went in. Vadra claimed that despite being a target, he would come out stronger. While speaking to ANI, he said that "Hum kisi se darte nahi hai [I am not scared of anyone]...We are the target because we are relevant. Whether Rahul Gandhi is stopped in the parliament or I am stopped outside".

Vadra told ABP that Ashok Khemka made the allegation, but then-CM Manohar Lal Khattar gave me a clean chit because they didn’t find any evidence against me.

He slammed the BJP, saying that if anybody plans on joining politics or is about to become the chief minister, they bother them. He said that it is how the saffron party works; since they are not united, they’ll make sure we break too.

While speaking to ANI, he said he was surprised to see the second summons from the agency “as I have already appeared 15 times before the agency regarding the same case. I was questioned for 10 hours, and I gave 23,000 documents. I showed my statements from 2019 to the agency, and you are asking the same questions that I answered in 2019, and the people of the agency were also shocked. I can just say that the agencies are being misused," Vadra added. He said that he submitted more than 20,000 documents to the agency in 2019, too, calling the summons "politically motivated."
