Rape accused Daati Maharaj does not appear before Crime Branch today

Daati Maharaj has however categorically denied the allegations of sexually assaulting his own female disciple and has said that he will fully co-operate the police in the probe.

New Delhi:Self-styled godman Daati Maharaj, who has been accused of raping his own disciple did not appear before the Delhi Police Crime Branch today. He was supposed to appear before the polcie by 11 am. He has not yet appeared before court also. He has the time till 2 pm to appear before the court. Self-styled godman Daati Maharaj, who has been accused of raping his own disciple, is likely to present before the crime branch on Monday. Daati, who is currently at large, could be heard advising his followers to maintain peace, in a leaked audio tape. Daati Maharaj has been reportedly duping people in the name of lord Shani. As per sources, he used to collect all the oil that people used to smear upon Lord Shani and collect it in a tanker. That collected oil was thereafter sold in the market. The victim, had leveled rape allegations on Daati Maharaj on two locations - Delhi’s Fatehpuri Beri where he has his registered office in Mehrauli locality and in the Pali ashram in Rajasthan two years ago. As per reports, because of fear and social stigma, the victim did not file a complaint earlier. Daati Maharaj has however categorically denied the allegations of sexually assaulting his own female disciple and has said that he will fully co-operate the police in the probe. “I will fully cooperate in the investigation" he said in an exclusive interview with ABP News. He also said that 'this is a conspiracy against me'. He also claimed that he sponsored her education as well, saying her father had left her and her brother with him and he made the complainant enroll in a B(CA) programme; and thereafter he further said that he also made her do an M(CA).
