Determined To Work For People Of Rajasthan, Says Sachin Pilot As Congress Heads For A Happy Ending

Today was indeed a action-packed day in Rajasthan political sphere with the homecoming of sacked deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot along with 18 other rebel MLAs.

Jaipur: Hours after meeting Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other senior leaders during Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot took to Twitter and said that he along with other party members is committed to work for the people of the state. ALSO READ | 'Apne Toh Apne Hote Hain': Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Welcomes Sachin Pilot, 18 Rebel MLAs Ahead Of Assembly Session Gehlot, in his tweet in Hindi, wrote: "Today participated in Congress Legislative Party meeting along with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, party General Secretary KC Venugopal, in-charge Avinash Pandey, state president Govind Singh Dotasara and other party members. We are committed to work for the promises made for the welfare of people of Rajasthan." Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Congress also revoked suspension of two of its MLAs Bhanwarlal Sharma and Vishvendra Singh who were accused of conspiring to topple the Gehlot government in Rajasthan. Avinash Pande, AICC general secretary, in his tweet, said, "After a consultative discussion, the suspension of @INCRajasthan MLA Sh. Bhanwarlal Sharma ji and Sh. @vishvendrabtp ji is hereby revoked." The much-awaited meeting between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot took place earlier in the day, two days after Pilot returned from Delhi, marking a happy ending to the over a month-long political uncertainty in the state. The two leaders met before the Congress legislative party meeting at Gehlot's house. At the meeting, Gehlot gave a call to forget the past, saying, "Apne To Apne Hote Hain'. We could have proved majority on the floor of the House even without these 19 MLAs, but then there would have been no happiness around." ALSO READ | Breather For Indians! We shall also resolve the grievances of our MLAs who are annoyed with us." Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said that it will move a no-confidence motion against the Gehlot government when the special Assembly session commences on Friday. Pilot had revolted against the Gehlot government, and was camping in Delhi since the last one month with his 18 loyalist MLAs. He returned after the matter was resolved following the intervention of senior party leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Venugopal.
