Rajasthan Lockdown Guidelines: Know What's Open & What's Shut For People In Rajasthan

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced the move after a virtual meeting on Thursday night. He said a "strict lockdown" will be in force from 5 am on May 10th.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government on Thursday decided to impose a strict statewide lockdown from 5 am on May 10th and will end at 5 am on May 24th. After a virtual cabinet meeting, the decision to impose a lockdown in the state was announced on the grounds that it was the only way to really break the chain of the virus.

Some stirct guidelines have been ladi down by the state government in order to curb the spread of the virus.

Guidelines of this lockdown are: 

  • All intra-state travels between districts, cities and villages will be barred. But inter and intra-state movement of goods and commodities will be permitted.
  • Except for emergency vehicles, no other vehicle, both private and public transport, will be permitted.
  • Those coming from outside the state will have to produce a negative RT-PCR test report. In case there is no negative report, the person will be quarantined for 15 days.
  • There is be a ban on organising any wedding till May 31. No permission will be granted for any wedding-related event in this period. Permission will be given for court marriages and to organise weddings at home with the condition that wouldn't allow any more 11 people to participate in. The family where the wedding is being organised will have to submit details at Covidinfo.rajasthan.gov.in
  • In order to prevent the migration of workers, they will be permitted in factories and special buses will be operated for the workers of factories/construction sites. All MGNREGA-related works will remain suspended till further orders.
  • Shops dealing in construction-related products and services will be allowed to operate.

Many restrictions were already in force in the state under 'Red Alert Public Discipline Fortnight' which have been made stringent on the basis of the suggestions given by the group of five ministers during the meeting. Medical departments will issue separate guidelines regarding attendants caring for hospitalised Covid-19 patients.
