Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra Resumes From Dara Station In Rajasthan

The yatra, which has so far covered over 2,400 kilometers since its start on September 7, will travel at least 13 km in its first leg of its day three in Rajasthan to reach Mandana in Kota’s Laadpura.

New Delhi: The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recommenced from Dara Station in Rajasthan on Wednesday morning as he and fellow yatris march towards the coaching capital of Kota.

The yatra, which has so far covered over 2,400 kilometers since its start on September 7 from Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari, will travel at least 13 km in its first leg of its day three in Rajasthan to reach Mandana in Kota’s Laadpura, the PTI reported.

The yatris will have a lunch break there before they resume at 3.30 pm to cover nine more kilometers for a corner meeting at the Sasa Resort at 6.30 pm. They will then proceed for the night stay at Jagpura, Kota, around eight kilometers away.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, his former deputy Sachin Pilot, state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra, state minister Mahesh Joshi, AICC national secretary and chairman of Rajasthan Seeds Corporation Dhiraj Gurjar and a large number of regional leaders, party workers are accompanying Gandhi on this leg, according to PTI.

Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday evening charmed the crowd when he blew kisses and waved while passing the BJP office in Soyat Kalan town, when the Yatra was headed towards the Rajasthan border.

Earlier on Sunday, a video of the impromptu dance performance surfaced on social media, showing Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot holding hands and dancing with folk artists on the stage.

Later, speaking at the Jhalawar event, Rahul took a customary dig at the BJP and RSS, saying the Congress is a party of Mahatma Gandhi and not of (VR) Savarkar or (Nathuram) Godse.

"This is Mahatma Gandhi's party, not Savarkar's or Godse's. We know how to work hard," Rahul said.

The pan-India foot march covered a distance of 380 kilometers in Madhya Pradesh before entering Rajasthan on December 4 evening for the onward journey.
