Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Set To Tie The Knot For Second Time In Chandigarh

Bhagwant Mann will be getting married for the second time tomorrow, He had divorced his first wife six years ago.

New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be getting hitched for the second time. According to ABP News sources, Mann will be getting married tomorrow to Dr Gurpreet Kaur. The wedding is being organised in Chandigarh and sources have said that it is going to be a private ceremony.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has divorced his first wife six years ago and she lives in the United States with their two children. Both the children had attended the swearing-in ceremony.

  

Sources also said that Bhagwant Mann's mother has selected Dr Gurpreet Kaur to be her daughter-in-law. Mann's sister and mother both wanted Mann to tie the knot again and both of them chose the bride. 

Agreeing with his mother and sister, 48-yr-old Bhagwant Mann will be getting married on July 7 in a private ceremony being organised at his Chandigarh residence.

Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also attend the private wedding ceremony to bless the married couple on Thursday.  

Comedian turned politician Bhagwant Mann became an MP from Sangrur for the first time in 2014. His first wife Inderjit Kaur also campaigned for him. In the later years, the couple drifted apart as he couldn't spend time with his family and was more involved in politics, a PTI report quoted Bhagwant Mann as saying. 

Before the Punjab Assembly elections in March of this year, the Aam Aadmi Party declared him as its CM face for Punjab and contested the elections. He won the polls with a  thumping majority.  Bhagwant Mann is the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab.
