PM Modi To Visit Manipur, Tripura Tomorrow — To Launch Key Development Projects
PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for 22 development projects in Manipur and inaugurate an integrated terminal building of the Maharaja Bir Bikram airport in Tripura.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Northeastern states of Nagaland and Tripura on Tuesday. As per the official press release, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for 22 development projects in Manipur. In Tripura, he will inaugurate an integrated terminal building of the Maharaja Bir Bikram airport and will launch developmental projects there also.
PM Modi's Visit to Manipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reach Imphal at around 11 am where he will lay foundation stones for 22 developmental projects worth Rs 4,800 crore. Out of the 22 projects, he will inaugurate 13 projects worth Rs 1,850 crore and lay the foundation stone for 9 projects worth Rs 2,950 crore. These projects are related to diverse sectors such as Road Infrastructure, Drinking Water Supply, Health, Urban Development, Housing, Information Technology, Skill Development, Art, and Culture, among others, the press release stated.
He will lay the foundation stone for the construction of five National Highway projects and will inaugurate a steel bridge that will connect Silchar from Imphal and reduce traffic congestion.
PM Modi will also dedicate, to the people of Manipur, 2,387 mobile towers built at a cost of 1,100 crores. Foundation stone for around 72 projects worth Rs 130 crore will be laid the PM with holistic development of the minorities in the state.

PM Modi's Visit to Tripura
At around 2 pm, the PM will reach Agartala where he will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport. The airport terminal building was built at a cost of Rs 450 crore and spread over 30,000 square metres.
He will then launch two key initiatives — Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana and Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools.
The Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana aims to achieve the benchmark standards for service delivery in core development sectors at the village level.
Under the Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools, 100 existing high and higher secondary schools will be converted to VIdyajyoti Schools with an aim to improve quality of education in the state.
