PM Modi To Address Seminar Of Women Saints On International Women's Day In Kutch

The seminar will include sessions on “culture, religion, female upliftment, security, social status, and the role of women in Indian culture.”

New Delhi: On the occassion of International Women's Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address a seminar at the women saint’s camp at Dhordo in Gujarat's Kutch on Tuesday.

The seminar is being organised to recognise the role of women saints in the society and their contribution towards women empowerment.

According to a press release by the Prime Minister’s office, more than 500 women saints and preachers will be attending this seminar.

The seminar will include sessions on “culture, religion, female upliftment, security, social status, and the role of women in Indian culture.” As per the PMO, welfare schemes of central and state governments benefiting women along with achievements of women will also be discussed in the seminar.

This seminar will be attended by Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, Union Ministers of State for Consumer Affairs Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, and Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar.

The event will also be graced by Sadhvi Rithambara, Maha Mandleshwar Kankeshwari Devi among others, said the press release by PMO.

Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. The theme for this year’s Women’s Day is ‘Break The Bias’.
